Pool Resurface Process

1. Drain the Pool

When draining a pool for a remodel, we release the hydrostatic plug (or hydrostatic relief valve) to prevent structural damage caused by groundwater pressure.

2. Prep the Surface

  • Old surface is chipped away, sandblasted, or stripped, depending on the condition.
  • We remove loose plaster, paint, or damaged material.
  • This step ensures strong bonding with the new surface.
  • If New Tile Is Selected, it will be installed.

3. Clean & Repair

  • Surfaces are pressure-washed and acid-washed as needed.
  • Cracks, divots, or structural issues are patched with high-bonding materials.

4. Apply Bonding Layer

A professional-grade bond coat is sprayed or rolled on to ensure the new material permanently adheres.

5. Resurface Application

We apply your selected finish

  • Quartz

  • Pebble Mini or Regular

  • Glass & Pebble

This is a multi-layered process that results in a smooth, durable, watertight finish.

6. Curing Time

A dyed surface must cure for 24–48 hours, depending on weather and material. We monitor this carefully.

7. Refill & Balance

The pool can be filled from a water hose. A water letter will be provided. If you wish to coordinate a water truck for a fill, we can help arrange.

Once the pool is full it is the homeowners responsibility to follow the NPC 28 Day Start Up Procedure. This ensures longevity of your investment.

NPC 28 Day Start Up

Please see instructions -

Note - For 28 Days No Salt Or Heater Use. Recommended No Vacuuming For 28 Days.
